About
An independent firm built around one question
How much control do you actually have over your capital — and what is it costing you not to have it?
Legacy Strategies was founded on a straightforward observation: most people are not under-informed about money in general. They are under-informed about how their own money is structured, and about how few of the decisions inside that structure were ever actually chosen.
A retirement account was set up because it was the default at a job. A savings account is where cash sits because it always has been. Coverage was bought once, years ago, sized around a life that has since changed. None of it is wrong. Very little of it was ever designed.
We work on the design. That means looking at how capital moves through your life — where it sits, what it is exposed to, what it costs you to reach it, and what happens to it when you need it most. Insurance and related financial products are the tools we use to implement those designs. They are not the starting point, and they are not the identity of this firm.
Who we work with
Families, business owners, entrepreneurs, real estate professionals and high-income professionals — most of them people who have done well by conventional advice and have started to notice its edges. Concentrated tax exposure. Capital they cannot reach. Coverage nobody has reviewed in a decade. A business that represents most of their net worth and has no contingency plan attached to it.
Where we work
We are based in Largo and licensed across the USA, adding states on request. Health plans in particular are priced, networked and sold county by county, so what is available to you depends on your ZIP code rather than just your state.
How we are compensated
Strategy calls and the Financial Legacy Strategy analysis are provided at no cost. If you implement a strategy involving an insurance product, we are compensated by the issuing carrier. Product pricing is filed with the state and is not increased by working with an agent. We will always tell you plainly which products are involved in a recommendation and why.
What we are not
We are not investment advisors, accountants or attorneys, and we do not provide investment, tax or legal advice. Where a strategy has tax or legal consequences — and many of them do — we coordinate with your CPA and attorney rather than working around them. If you do not have those relationships, we can suggest where to start.
What we believe
Four things that shape how we work
Structure is the whole game
Two people with identical incomes and identical savings can end up in very different positions based purely on how their money is organized. That is the part almost nobody gets help with.
If it cannot be explained plainly, it should not be sold
These concepts are not simple, but they are explainable. If a strategy only sounds good when it is described vaguely, that is information.
The trade-offs come first
Every strategy costs something — liquidity, flexibility, time, or premium. We name those before the benefits, not after you have signed.
Independence matters
Being independent means the design can lead and the carrier can follow, rather than fitting every client into whatever one company happens to sell.
